This was a fourth generation family business with 22 next generation members set to inherit shares and significant wealth over the years ahead. They were geographically dispersed and had little connection or knowledge of the business or the family’s wealth. The family were concerned about how they could act as a cohesive group of beneficiaries, able to make informed decisions in the future.
We worked with the next generation to design and deliver an education programme that would gradually develop their knowledge and connection over time. On an annual basis, this interactive programme teaches them about the business, helps them understand their role and responsibilities as shareholders, develops their financial awareness, and evolves their communication and decision-making skills so that, over time, they form a cohesive and effective team in the future.
